Business Analyst

This key role is for a Business Analyst reporting into line Product Control.

The primary responsibility of the person will be acting as the chief point of contact between the line FA team and the project team.

Responsibilities:
oAssist the FA SME on general project matters
oParticipation in the overall end-to-end testing schedule
oParticipation in the overall data migration schedule
oParticipation in post go live support
oFollow-up queries from both Line and IT on Business Requirements/Testing and other project matters
oDecision-making on behalf of the relevant FA line team
oIssue Resolution for the project
oLiaison with other projects as appropriate
oWorking with business and IT to understand and explain data discrepancies between the current and future systems.
oWorking with business and IT to agree and prioritise required IT changes.


The successful candidate will be ACA qualified or equivalent, and have an Investment Banking or Consultancy background. Front to back knowledge of investment banking systems and processes is essential, as well as Financial Accounting / Product Control project experience. An understanding of basic accounting concepts: financial statements, reporting, cut-off, accounting principles will b required, as will an understanding of Balance Sheets, Profit and Loss, adjustments, cut-off concepts.
