Purpose of the Job
To support the Actuarial team in working closely with the Underwriters as well as Senior Management and other internal departments on reserving, pricing, capital modelling and business planning activities.

Principal Accountabilities
* To assist in actuarial activities such as reserving, pricing, capital modelling and business planning.
* To be responsible for liaising with underwriters and other internal departments.
* To undertake further actuarial exams.
* To undertake any ad hoc duties as necessary; such as data inputting, producing reports and extracting information.
* To collate data and undertake appropriate research, including analysis of market statistics, in order to assist the actuarial department.
* To begin to develop an understanding of the overall portfolio of business written within the business accounts.

Education, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
* Educated to degree level or equivalent, obtaining a high overall pass grade
* Good overall educational passes
* Progression towards full actuarial qualification
* Knowledge of Visual Basic and Microsoft Access
* Good commercial acumen with a consultative, approach
* A good understanding of General Insurance
* Excellent IT skills, in particular an advanced level of Excel
* Able to work autonomously
* Completion of CT series
* Strong written and oral communication skills
