The Geffrye is a unique and specialist museum which explores the home from 1600 to the present day. It is well known for its innovative exhibition and education programmes. A thriving, dynamic museum with an energetic and committed team, the Geffrye has strong links with the local community as well as a reputation as a nationally important museum.
This important role will report to the Director and Deputy Director.
Responsibilities:
+ Developing a professional finance and accounting service
+ Management of pay and pensions
+ Preparation of the year end accounts for the annual audit
+ Being a key part of the senior level management team
Requirements:
+ A proactive and adaptable approach
+ CIPFA, CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent accountancy qualification
+ Awareness of recommended practice in charity accounting
+ The ability to present complex information in a simple and straight forward way
