Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for the effective provision of a comprehensive income function for Adults' Social Services
Responsibilities:
+ Managing the income assessment, billing, collection and recovery service, maximising the income due to the Council
+ Formulating, planning and implementing new policy initiatives and legislative changes
+ Preparing and analysing financial and management information
+ Managing and motivating a team of 17 staff, through three direct reports
Requirements:
+ Strong income team experience, including strategic and operational understanding of income assessment, billing, collection and recovery processes
+ Local government finance experience, including knowledge of Adults' Social Services Income legislation
+ Strong people management skills, including team building, change management and staff development
