Audit & Assurance Manager

High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire•£39,817 plus car allowance & excellent benefits

The Role

Working for an acclaimed nationwide organisation, you will facilitate the delivery of an excellent internal audit and assurance service. Reporting to the Group Head of Audit and assisting in the supervision and motivation of a small team, you will undertake the following:

* Oversee and co-ordinate the delivery of the Strategic and Annual Internal Audit Plans

* Ensure that the Board has full assurance on the effectiveness of control

* Provide appropriate challenge to the organisation to ensure identified business risks are mitigated

* Create and review working practices to ensure that maximum efficiency and consistency are applied to audit practices throughout the internal audit service

* Develop quality assurance and performance monitoring and reporting arrangements

* Undertake day to day management and provide operational support to the internal audit team, whilst working with the Group Head of Audit & Assurance to deliver excellent services across the organisation

* Take an active role in the development and co-ordination of risk management and controls assurance framework including the co-ordination and delivery of the annual reporting requirements

The Candidate

* Fully or part qualified CCAB or MIIA

* Strong technical ability and experience of internal audit at a senior level

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
